Can anyone say for sure what the best on page SEO keyword saturation percentage should be? I know that Ezine and others generally do well with 2 - 2.5% but I heard that on page for your website or blog should be around 4 - 4.5%. Does anyone know what is the best percentage. I do know the content has to read well and I do write my content more for readers than google but I try to stay at 4% or so when doing so. David
You are correct. The best percentage ranges from 4-7%. Be cautious, if you have it around 7% make sure you have a lot of content. I personally like it around 5%
All around this forum there seems to be people guessing about what is best for SEO. The guesswork is where things go pearshaped. If you do not have actual statistics about this, then you should not guess.
You should just write in a normal, grammatically correct way and pay no attention to keyword density unless you have too high of an occurrence. You can rank high with only one mention of your keyword provided that your off page SEO is done correctly.
