Hello DP Members, I would like to ask about frequency of PR Update. I am feeling that PR about sites which I am tracking hasn't been updated since April/May, 2010 Also, I found something called PR Prediction Tool. I want to know whether it can really predict PR accurately or it's just for FUN? Because, they all make disclaimer that actual PR may or may not be what this tool predicts. I want to know your views. Have A Nice Time to all readers.
I used one of those prediction software and it says that I will get a PR of 5 (I currently have 4) so will keep you posted on what happens on the next update
Everyone can do a prediction of something how ever the pagerank has so many factors that it is almost impossible to predict them right. So the value of the so called pagerank prediction tools or what so ever? None. You shouldn't focus on pagerank, pagerank is just a small detail SEO is about a lot more then pagerank. At the end it is about ending high in the SERPs not having a pagerank of 6+ there are enough websites who have a high pagerank but aren't ranking high in the SERPs.
These prediction tools are just for fun, because google uses its own algorithms and all those sites don't know it exactly
pr is generally upadated once in 3months.. but this its been 6 months, its not yet updated... google is into ceffiane update..
Is there any way of getting answer of this question officially viz. google blog or something? I am wondering why they are not officially announcing time & frequency of PR updates !!! Yes, I agree with you. PR is not really of that significance except in Link selling threads, LOL. Btw, is there any way of quantifying SERP?
dont go for predictions just go for quality articles writing u ll be updated google uses its algorithm so forget about it
i have used a few of those PR predictors and they have all been way off. If anyone can post the link of one that they have used in the past which is accurate that would be great.
Yeah, these tools are often a scam. If they have any affiliation or something with google, it is a very low chance that their predictions might be true. And, being affiliated with google is something that doesn't stay in the dark, if it were, the tool would be used widely!
I agree, those tools are mostly a scam or just some W.A.G. Keep building quality content and quality links, and the PR will come. Though PR is vastly overrated...
PageRank prediction tools are just a bad joke. Nobody is currently able to predict your PageRank exactly. About the PageRank export frequency... it's becoming random lately Only Google knows...
Google is slowly reducing the weightage on PR..I feel one day it will vanish..The most important thing whether you are getting good rank in the search results and gettings more clicks or not! Keep working on SEO, but don't waste too much time like in those predicitve tools....All the best!
