Is this good traffic?

I created a blog a few months back which has since been abandoned, however, I am considering bringing it back.

I was, after 2 weeks, getting around 5k of unique view per day. Is this good for a new blog?

 

It's very good for a new blog. You'd be silly to abandon it. That's 150k uniques per month! What ads are you running?

How? What kind of links did you have coming in?
what was the domain?
Are you running any outside advertisement?

How does a new blog get 5,000 unique visitors a day in weeks?

It doesn't sound like you are very experienced since you are asking such a question, so I have to question what you did to get that amount of traffic on a new blog because it seems to me someone with the experience to do so, wouldn't have to ask about traffic.

That is .... impressive for a 2 weeks old blog . Keep it up . At the minimum your blog can give you 8 quid a day . Would you turn down someone giving you free beer ?

 

Unless you have some good money and all day, everyday to work on your website, I doubt you were up to 150K uniques in the first month...

And if someone really had a website getting 5k uniques per day, do you really think they'd be on DP asking if it's good traffic? Even asking that question shows you probably don't have a blog getting 5k uniques in the first 2 weeks, and maybe not even own a website at all, haha. I knew if I had that I'd be working on doubling that traffic and monetizing the website, which would then allow me to keep breeding bearded dragons after this last year of college, haha.

Some blogs get 10.000 uniques per day . And generate insane amounts of income . You just have to have the right stuff at the right time .

 

Yeah, you're definitely right, but I have to say, the OP is pretty suspicious. Who would think that 5k unique visitors a day isn't amazing traffic? After only two weeks?

OP, can you give some more information about your blog? Without anything specific, there is really nothing anyone can do to help you.
