Contest $35 logo contest (48 Hours)

This logo contest is for a nation wide life insurance website. Below are the details.
Website Title: Insurance Store Finance Protector – Family Defence
Slogan: Insurance for the Financial Protection of Your Family

Requirements: Be creative and reflect the website title and Slogan. The winner will need to provide the logo in psd or vector (both preferred but not required).

The contest is for 48 hours or until a clear winner is decided on. Please let me know in the thread if you have any questions. All questions and submissions must be submitted through the thread. I will not accept any PM-ed designs or questions.

The contest winner will be paid $35 via paypal.

This is nice but it looks like the company would be securing money rather than being for life insurance.
Also I would like to have some of the text at least partially integrated into the icon.

I really like the Umbrella motif. Perhaps having covering a icon of a family rather than the letters. The Font used seems very business like which is good. I wonder if there is a way to integrate some portion of the text into the artwork?

It is good that the over all logo says what I want it to. Also the image is more personal than any others that have been submitted since it is an abstract of a person. However, the image does not give the same "protecting the family" message as the text.

Like the entry by ZinniDoll this is more personal because of the abstract human icons but I don't see anything except the words that tell that that the logo is about insurance or about what insurance is for, namely protecting a family if something bad happens. Also it would be preferred if some or all of the text could be integrated into the artwork.

I Rtek like the home covering the family symbolism a lot! what can be done to give a feel of a touch of elegance? Not being a designer the only thing I can think of is that the people icons are to boxy.

Tsuther, the shield seem to be the best protection icon so far. I am impresses with the effort to make this look three dimensional. Could you make even more 3d looking and add something maybe scroll work to add a touch of the elite. I don't understand what the curved lines on either side of the shield are. I do like the home and the cursive font on the bottom line. I also like that the curve of the text makes it more part of the logo.

I really liked the entry from godsofchaos once I realized the design is an umbrella. As I thought about it more it seemed like both a fountain and an umbrella. I don't know if this was intentional and I am wondering if you can make the umbrella more clear and adding two smaller persons under the umbrella without loosing your great fountain effect? Finally I would like to see this in other colors.

I changed the fonts and added a roof over the text, and for the second one i made a few more minor changes just to show you some of whats avalible. Feedback is appreciated.

 

Br0th3r you definitely has the umbrella icon that I like. At the same time the over all presentation is to cartoon like and the people in the icon remind me of ghosts. Sorry but I also don't like the color scheme. I do hope you are inclined to submit something else.
