Quite right, with a half an hour job you can create multiple variations of the article by adding relevant synonyms to the words in the article, which should make the article at least 30% unique than its original version, which is what google considers the threshold for copied content.

 

Your article should have unique and informative content. and most important article submission should be placed on quality article sites where articles are easily cached and indexed by Google.

The problem with that strategy is that if you submit the same article to more than 1 site, the duplicated articles will not be included in the search results (or at least not be as powerful) and if your try to write individual article for each site can be laborious. You can try spinning, if done correctly is still very effective (only if it is done correctly) Some people will say that search engines will pick up the footprint of a spun article, But I can assure you that is not the case. Or if you have a budget you can get articles written very cheaply by outsourcing them. In any case a well spun article can be very effective.
