Selling popular Twitter web application - Tweetoclock.com.

Tweetoclock.com is a web application that utilizes the Twitter API to analyze a specific Twitter user's tweet timeline to determine what day of the week and at what time it is best to contact a twitter user (via a @reply) to guarantee that you will receive a reply back. Tweetoclock is used by many different people; from business power users to amateur users simply trying to contact celebrities.

Tweetoclock has received coverage on hundreds of web blogs such as:

    ...to just name a few.

Tweetoclock itself also encourages its users to tweet out their results which is a fun thing to do for the end-user but also means the site gets free marketing via its users. You can see all the tweets users are making about the site here: http://search.twitter.com/search?q=tweetoclock.

The site itself hasn't made any profit due to my co-developer and I not wanting to make any money from the site until now. It should be pretty easy to make the site profitable due to the amount of hits it gets and the amount of coverage on web blogs it receives.

This auction is for the domain, design, code, twitter account and anything else associated to the tweetoclock.com brand which I own (such as twitter accounts, etc). The auction starts at $400 (due to an offer already received from meetuls on this forum) and the BIN is $2000. We will accept payment via bank transfer or paypal. We've attempted to sell this site twice now but had some issues (the first time we sold it the buyer didn't pay and the second time the volcanic ash disrupted the buyer paying).

The site runs on a Cent OS server with PHP 5.3 (though it should run on any version of php 5.x.x). The script requires cURL and currently uses memcache for caching results (though this could be disabled).

Feel free to ask any questions and I'll try my best to answer them .

Could I please ask what your Unique Visitors are approximately each month, any links you have purchased for Traffic. Your General demographics basically, feel free to send a screenshot to my PM if this is easier. Good luck with the auction, it is a pretty clever script and surprisingly I can see much use for it! EDIT: Just seen information at the top, if these are different as of now send them....sorry not used DP in a long while!

I thought Twitter deprecated their API...Does it use OAuth instead?

Juts curious, because we had to re-write our entire application because they no longer support their Basc API.

OAuth is only needed when dealing with authenticated requests. Tweet 'O Clock only uses the public API methods so basic auth/OAuth isn't needed :).
