Blogger is good for newbie on blogging and Wordpress is great for an expert on blogging because WP has many tools and feature than Blogger :)

There are other's out there but I think you're best to stick with either blogger or wordpress.

With blogger you get to monetize it ridiculously but with wordpress you have better features and generally nicer community.

Blogger is very very basic... it is good to start because you just have to write your articles, so Wordpress is much better because with this you can create your real website with your a good and own appearance... there are many plug-ins for Wordpress that can help you to create a good blog.

I hope this is blogspot.com Vs wordpress.com and not blogger Vs wordpress.org .

IMHO blogspot.com is better than wordpress.com

blogger and wordpress.org cannot be compared because WordPress.org is open source I think and blogger does not offer any open source software .

For new user, I think, blogger is best. You can easily setup adsense. Besides, you can start polls, internal search, news feed, easy to add on html content & others. I think, for new user blogger is the best option.

I use blogger. But why opt to build a blog if you can make a real website. Try webs.com and its free!

    Thanks

I can't understand wordpress at all and I prefer blogger because of its ease of use. Anyway, I hear a lot of good things about Wordpress and wanted to learn it as well.

I've found that if you want to set up a nice simple blog with some monetisation, blogger seems to do the job very well. Be sure not to have too many links on it or be too spammy or you'll have it deleted quickly by Google. And never ever buy your domain from them!

i think blogger is better if you want to use free blogs. The free wordpress has a lot of issues. Granted you will get some extra widgets but blogger is getting better by the day. Also in wordpress you are not allowed to post affiliate links. Rest depends on you.

I personally enjoy the use of Wordpress and believe it wins by far as it allows complete customization. My blog which is on browser based games review is much different then the other sites as it allows customization. WP FTW!

Blogger is better if you are putting up a free, quickie site in a hurry only for the sake of selling an item without all the complicated tweaking and customization WP sometimes involves. It carries the SE weight of blog without the baggage that often comes with a minisite. This is ideal for testing the sales viability of a product before scaling it up with a fuller WP site.
