Description: Site is biggest collection of free templates for www.phplinkdirectory.com directory script. Many templates are created by me and rest of them are templates from other authors.
Site earns money trought text link advertising and custom designs orders.
I was working on site 10-15 days, 3-4 hours per day, so there is a lot of unused potential.

Revenue: $800 per moth
Currently site has 10 paid text links ($10 per month) which makes $100 per month. I had to turn down 4 more interested people who could pay by paypal only, since paypal is not supported here in Serbia.
All links are sold in 3 months period maximum and that is the longest period you ned to waith to collect new payment. Many expire in less than 1 month, though.

I also maid few paid blog post per 10$ one time, but later decided not to do it anymore. You can alwaus do that too.

I charge 230$ per sponsored template(free to use with backlink to my and sponsors site) and custom design orders.
I have created all templates listed in “downloads” section of the site and did 2 custom designs listed under “custom designs” category.

September: 3 templates created($690)+text links($100)=$790
August: 1 template+text links=$330 (I was on 20 days vacation and had to study for exam)
July: 3 templates($690)+text links($100)+2 paid blog posts($20)=$810

I will provide revenue proof to people interested to see it. Payment is made trough 2checkout.

As you can see I never advertised custom design services on site or anywhere else. I even keep link “custom phpld design” to competition site. Only hint that I do custom designs is “custom designs” category. This is because I alwaus had several pending orders and never needed more. As I said, I was working 10-15 days per month since I have exams and I need time to spend money I earn

Traffic: Site gets around 2000 uniques per month. Considering this is not general interest site and traffic is very targeted, you have big potential clients base.
Traffic comes from webmaster forums, search engines, link exchanges and directories using our templates. Site is ranked 2nd on Google for “phpld templates” and ranks well for other related keywords.

Backlinks grow all the time from templates on new directories. Authors of templates listed on site are alwaus kind enough to return link. Site is already listed as featured on many free and paid directories.
There are no paid links and all backlinks will stay after site is sold.

Google pr: 2 (since update is in progress some datacenters show 3), but I think this is not very important and it doesn’t affect site’s earnings which is great, since you don’t have to pray to Google for extra money.

What is so cool about this site:
1. PHP Link Directory is most popular directory script on internet. New directories grow everyday and more than 90% of them use phpld script. On the other side, there are not many people who make designs for this script. This makes high demand for templates. Site offers solutions to both people who want turnkey solutions and those who want custom design.
2. Site already have many free templates. With every new directory using one of them your backlinks grow and so the traffic. While those directories grow, again your traffic grow.
3. There is a custom portfolio already which gives you good start up for custom designs.
4. Sponsored templates are great investment for customer, since nice designed template becomes used on many directories. Comparing to price of permanent sitewide links on those directories this is very smart way to invest money. Sponsoring template is not just about backlinks. It is good promotion since sponsor basicly pays for gift for other webmasters and changes the way people look at his site.
5. Sponsored templates also represent unique content on the site, attracting more and more visitors and of course build backlinks for your site too.
6. Submitting site to directories is not just a common link building. It is also a way to let directory owner about your site.

Design work:
You need to know that PHP Link Directory script is written in smarty and it is not easy to code. However I can’t read single line of php, so programming knowledge is not required.
If you can design html and css template, your job will be 2 hours longer. You just need to insert php code blocks in appropriate places.
I started from phpld default template and improved html code, moving to tableless as much as possible to allowe better control and design possibilities.
New owner will get full rights to templates code and will get 2 hours tutorial on creating templates if needed.

When it is so good, why are you selling?
I thought I will never sell this site and had big plans for it(like adding forums, paid directory etc., but I am starting bigger project which needs lot of time and money, so I am forced to sell this website since I will not have time to run it.

No, I will not continue to work on templates. That is why I am selling.
But I can explain creation process to new owner and give him ready php code for use-much improved than default one.

Not at the moment. I just to have one paid link but it wasn't sending traffic as I expected so I ended advertising.
