    lots of way to build quality back link...you can do article marketing, reciprocal link exchange, 3 way link exchange, do follow forum posting, dofollow blog commenting etc..

    Link exchange is almost a way for directories to bait you into link approval outside of featured links. I'd submit to free directories that are human edited and have a bit of a wait time for approval.

    The web has always been based on link exchange. However, Google considers that link exchanges may aim at manipulating pagerank. Consequently, reciprocal links have less value than one-way links.

    Therefore most link builders offer three-way link exchanges (also named triangular link exchanges) because those link exchanges look like one-way links. This is acommon practice.

    However, things are not so simple because google (with Whois data, IP,...) is able to recognize the triangular link exchanges.

    As far I am concerned, I found a quality reciprocal link exchange is still better than a bad triangular link exchange.

    Link quality is not a simple matter of triangular or reciprocal exchange.
