Hello everyone, I'm putting my foot in the doorsteps of the affiliate market today. I recently purchased credits from a website, could anyone give me tips or pointers, I plan to push about 5k ip addresses to my link per week over the next 3 weeks. I know having my own domain would be alot better then a link, but I can't afford all that atm,

I never recommend affiliates buying traffic.

Is this traffic you're buying going to be highly targeted customers with money ready to purchase? Or simply anybody that the seller can push your way? I'm guessing it's the second. If you want to pay for traffic, I recommend a PPC campaign instead.

Avoid purchasing traffic, it looks good on paper, and many believe it's a solution to an easy income but you will soon see why it often fails.

Where is this traffic coming from? If you're getting 5k visitors I'm assuming that's untargeted traffic, because 5,000 visitors of targeted traffic from PPC would be very expensive.

Maybe a better way of making money from this traffic would be to send them to a squeeze page, collect their e-mails and then you can market to these visitors as much as you want for free!

PPC is definitely what you need, but if you can’t afford own domain, than, I guess, you’ll not have enough money for PPC campaign.

Remember, that 100 targeted visitors are many times better, than 5000 untargeted.

    Good luck!

Your money would be definitely better spent on buying your own domain first and then on PPC. Be careful though because PPC not done right is the one of the fastest ways to lose money on the planet.

Having said that though, since it sounds like you've already spent money on buying traffic, definitely go with the suggestion above to send them to an opt-in page to get email addresses. That's your best chance of getting your money's worth out of your buy.

    Good luck!

When I first started out, I used only my Affiliate link as well. It worked out ok, but now that I have my own website, its been so much better. It first started out as a simple splash page which grew into a complete website . It really didn't cost me that much at all to have a website though, I got my Domain name through GoDaddy and added their 5 page economy website builder package for 3 months, which was a total of like $18.00 (I don't know if GoDaddy is still running the same special, but when I bought my domain name and website builder together, I got a discount for mutiple purchases). Currently the website builder cost me $5.00 a month, $10.00 a year for the Domain name, I bought $25.00 worth of pics from IstockPhoto and used my Adobe PhotoShop to build the graphics...

So my start up cost for having my own website was a total of around $43.00, my monthly charge for the website builder is $5.00, and my Yearly cost for the domain name is $10.00

You can get high earnings if you don't buy the traffic. Try to find ways on getting free targeted traffic.
