What type of websites are making a killing right now?

Personally, I think gaming sites can really be effective. If you can get a few very viral games you can make some serious dough with pregame ads along with some adsense on each page. I just started my own arcade site so I will get back to you guys about how effective it is

 

I'm working on the ultimate gossip site if anyone want to go in on it with me. Already have the traffic.

Write content. My problem though... how will I pay writers back. My thinking is providing free ad space for whatever you want to promote.

 

I think it will do well, people love to talk about others. The name of the site is called UGLY S.O.B. (www.uglysob.com), which is a very fitting name for this type of content. I just installed vbulletin and working on design, sections, etc. Probably launch it in a month.

About 25 people are joining the forum each day.

Eventually I'd like to have a paid membership to the site that allows for access to more features for members.

 

Regardless of the niche as long as it has traffic, people will make cash, even if it's just Adsense

 

think of something that everyone needs, then create a site giving it away free. Then monetize it.

i think health related sites are very profitable! so just think of how many people are interested in improving their health and how much money they are willing to spend to be healthy. supplements, guides, ab machine gadgets and more...

Anything that reflects the weakness of the global economy and people's fears - debt consolidation, foreclosure, how to get a loan etc etc. A news report on just one loan company in the UK revealed that they get 50,000 new applications a month - that is one desperate market.
