Is there any php script we can download/use to detect fake pagerank? I need a script that I can install on my site.

The best way to judge fake PR would be

check the cache copy of the page...and if the page url does not match with the cache report url...then it's a fake PR...and you can also check the info: with the site ...

check in google

if different urls are shown then it is a fake PR

That tool doesnt work for me. It even shows facebook to have a PR0. Not one site I tried did it give the real PR on.

 

Many people use a simple technique to increase PR of websites for some time ,Suppose You have 2 website
A and B .A has natural PR 3 where as B dont have any PR ,now if you use 301 permanent redirection site a to b
site B may get PR 3 .Now if you buy Site B thinking as it has PR 3 you are wrong because seller may withdraw redirection any moment after selling is complete and sequentially site B will lose its PR .

Suggestion : Use Yahoo site explorer to check its back links. Generally PR 3 websites should have many quality back link,Check quality of that websites and decide accordingly.

How is it possible, to make a fake PR? I DO NOT want one, but can't you just lookup PR checker on Google, and most sites with a PR checker feature will source out the true PR? Can people use a fake PR/some sort of code, to trick even those PR checker site?

 

www.diggpagerank.com is a good tool. But the fact is that I wouldn't worry about your PR. Instead just focus on creating a site packed with high quality content then make sure that you are building backlinks to it from sites in a similar niche to your own.

 

There are plenty of sites with a fake PR checker

 

This tool is not working as it showing page rank of 0 for all the sites.

I use analyzerexpert (program - not a site)

 

Just cache the page, if the result is not the same as the page you are viewing it is either fake pr or dropped domain which means pr could change once re-cached

 

Please don’t go for fake PR checker.

Just fixed our checker so it checks properly and gives back yahoo backlinks.
