Blog commenting and forum posting is probably the best free way to drive traffic. The 2 things you are already focusing on are already a good start. Try to comment on those popular blogs and try to be the top is a good way to be out there.
Good for that two ways ! But try to find do follow blog that high pr page and do not comment if the page is over 50 out bound links on it.. that's all..
I've never focused on dofollow blogs, I have just left comments on blogs that I find interesting and related to my niche. In a way, I've been focusing on building my relationship with the authors of the blogs and the people reading the blogs other than focusing on the search engines. As I understand, there are three ways we should think of when commenting on blogs in order to get traffic: 1. Get the attention of the author (really helps if we want to write guest posts) 2. Get the attention of the readers (helps to drive traffic to our own blog) 3. Get the attention of the search engines (helps ranking and traffic) I'm not sure if I've covered everything, but what I find really interesting is if it's possible to focus on all three when we're leaving a comment, or if we should focus on one or two of the above? What do you think?
The manual blog comment is better than the auto software. So you can attract traffic from popular blogs by using the manual.
Write a productive comment, include a link and perhaps a mini advertisement ie 'please comment back '
DoFollow comment link are most important but heavy to find.... And auto software doesn't like anyone; your page, blog page and google
Posting comments on blogs is a good thing. It can help build your network and gain traction for your blog. However, there are guidelines to follow. If you follow a few simple blog commenting rules your comments stand a good chance of being published and you stand a good chance of building a readership. -Put the link to the toplist on your blog: every time someone hits the link, your blog moves up in the ranks. -Write comments on other people's blogs. People are always grateful for a comment. More often than not, they'll click on your link and return the favor. -Post on forums. If you write a niche blog, post answers to questions on forums-be sure to put your blog address in your signature. Don't spam forums-make sure your posts are relevant.
Have a username with your keyword in, llike if you were selling hotdogs, have the username "harry the hotdog guy"
Noone has mentioned this so I figure I will. When you add a comment, be different. If the blogger isn't right, state that. Add personality to your comment. Also, if you happen to have talked about the same aspects of the article before, mention that you have talked about that very same thing on your website as well. I call it a leading and alluding strategy. The one caveat to this is you need to know what you are talking about and that is something that most don't really know...
Relevancy is important, added with quality helpful information, if the web site you are commenting on is worth the trouble, i would spend some time doing some research to get the right beneficial comment posted!
It seems as if blog commenting has had it's day , but giving a useful comment, and showing you know your stuff helps
Nicole Beckett and the others suggesting guest posting are giving you the best possible advice. Use your blog commenting to create a relationship with the blog owner of the highest traffic blogs you can find, then contact them about doing guest posting, or even ask if they would be interested in doing a guest post for you first. If you create long, well thought out comments, which add value to their post they will be interested in knowing you.
Keep the signature link in most traffic place of your niche. Keep updating a post and try to keep the top post as urs always
