Does page rank really matter in SEO

PR just represents the importance of a page...

 

No page rank does not affect seo....may be affect the quality of back links

The PR of my site means nothing to me. It's all about the traffic and converting that to sales, imo.

When I'm getting links i tend not to consider the PR of a site, but do feel good when i come across one that has a high PR because it will add more value to my site.

But overall, i tend not to consider the PR of sites

 

Oh, so page rank does matter in seo. I will keep linking my sites to high page rank web pages. However, it is too hard to get accepted from these high pr sites.

PR is factor, but the same time its not something you should be focusing on, it happens over time. Links from a page (not a site) with PR will help your PR. The higher the PR of your site, will help you rank for more keywords, thats especially with PR 4 and up. Lat point...focus on things you can effect

 

Rather than page rank I think SERP matters than this..Ya High pr is good but high serp is much better..

not much but having a good pagerank shows your status in terms of traffic, backlinks and other and this can attract adverstisers.

 

PR just says how much your site is famous and it doesn't affects on the SERP.

PR is only for the purpose how much important your site is in the eye of search engine. otherwise dropping page rank is not going to affects your site.

Page rank is very very very important, if your link is placed on a good page rank website then it is very good for you as compare to numerous links that are placed on low PR websites.

 

Google says "PageRank reflects our view of the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that we believe are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results." So i think page rank affects SEO. But its not the only factor. There are hunders of other reasons

 

hello, first time poster here so be friendly please
i've been working on SEO for my site: canvasartprint.co.uk for about six months now and have seen it rise google search results steadily. However i seem to have hit a 'glass ceiling' where i can't get any higher.
My question is this: my pagerank is showing as "no information available" (as is this page). I managed to get top spot for "canvas art print" so I know it's not a crucial factor by any means, but could it be holding me back for the more competitive keywords?

 

PR isn't to important for SEO but. I sell links to my sites and without PR I'd go hungry!

 

If the page rank dropped, it could be some of the links your site was linked to had their page rank adapted, and it also affected yours

 

I think PR does matter..especially if you wanted to know the result of your hard work..
