Contest $75 Logo Contest - Wordpress Doctors - 5 day contest

Hello all

I'd like a logo designed for my new web agency, called "Wordpress Doctors", which is an agency specializing in Wordpress templates, Wordpress plugins, etc. The prize on offer is $75, because I want a fantastic design!

Logo Brief

• Logo must feature the official Wordpress logo somewhere in the design (http://wordpress.org/about/logos/).
• The logo must fit the colour scheme of the website: http://www.wpdoctors.co.uk/about/ - so use whatever colours you want, but it must match the site design.
• The logo needs to be cartoon like, so do use characters that look like doctors or anything that's medical related. The cartoon should be unique.
• The text to use should be "Wordpress Doctors", no tagline is required.
• Please post your designs in the thread. I can then provide you with plenty of feedback.
• Please ask questions if you need to.

Contest Terms

• Contest Closes on Monday 13th Sept at 8pm BST (British Summer Time)
• Payment will be award to the best design. If there's no-overall best design, no prize will be awarded. (although this has never happened when I've run a logo contest)
• Payment will be paid by Paypal.

Yep, good idea. I'll do that now. These are logos that I like, and are roughly what I'm after in terms of style:



This has a good blend of text and graphic. The graphic is simple, but shows you what the site is about really quickly.



I really like this style of cartoon. Something like this for the 'doctor' component of my design is what I am after.


I like the simplicity but boldness of the graphic.


I love the choice of font, choice of metallic effect, the gradient colour scheme.

An excellent first concept, I particularly like this variation as it's more compact. The person looks a little more like a chef than a Doctor though! And what does it look like in the header area as a transparent image?

Excellent, very nice indeed. The doctor is a lot more obvious now. The white text looks best on the actual header, but the blue text looks best on a white background. Perhaps worth trying text with an outline to see if that works at all?

Here I tried to add a white stroke and a light blue stroke on the text, let me know what do you think about it.

Really like this design, really like it alot!

Not keen on use of a nurse, and I don't like any of the fonts. 1 is closest to being doctor related, but it's not a cartoon as requested, and it's not got the WP logo as requested.

The logo clearly shows it's a doctor, which is good. Not sure what it is on top of his head though! Not keen on the font, as it doesn't stand out enough. Thanks for your entry!

Really love this graphic. The logo stands out as being a doctor, and the text is very bold and clean. I much prefer the text in the 2nd graphic however, as it's clearer.

 

Very bold design, definitely caught my eye. Would be good to see the Wordpress logo in there somewhere. I think the "Doctors" text is too obscured by the stethoscope though. I think I'd also prefer to see the character to be separate from the text, as the logo feels almost 'too bold'.... Definitely original though, thanks for the submission.
