Make $30 a day from a photoshop tutorial site?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if it would take a while before I start making $30 a day on a photoshop tutorial site. I have not written any tutorials yet and Im still thinking if I should do this. If I write lets say 3-4 tutorials a week, put them up on tutorial sites, and sites like Digg, Stumble Upon, and Del.isio.us, would I be able to achomblish making $30 a day from Adsense alone in about 1-2 months? If not, what else could I put on the site to earn that $30 a day?

Of course it could be possible. It all depends on the quality and uniqueness of your tutorials.
Aside form adsense, you could look into selling banner ads or look for affiliate programs that are related to photoshop/ site design.
I know FlashDen offers an affiliate program and I am sure there are many others out there as well.

I've seen some good photoshop sites. So I don't know. I guess if you offered some unique tutorials first and got indexed, others would follow. I think it's more reasonable not to expect that kind of money right away but expect it to build over time. I do have one site where the click through is 5-15%, averaging 10% most days. As the traffic has improved, the income has improved.

 

Rather than putting up adsense you should be an adobe affiliate and promote their products. Adobe is a member of cj.com

 

webgal makes a good point. I did say it would be possible to make that much in 2 months but it wont be easy. It all has to do with the quality of your tutorials and your marketing.

There are also tons of web hosting companies that have affiliate programs which you could look into.
You could also become an Amazon affiliate and have list of current/ helpful photoshop and design books that you would make a percentage of if the viewer buys it. Not a huge percentage, but every bit would help...

Just know your target audience and use your imagination

 

There is way too much PS tutorial out there. Yes, it's possible but you have to compete all other site out there that rank top in google search engine.

Or you could do adbitrage but then only if PS tutorial "keywords" payout high.

You might be able to make a little money this way, but most people searching for photoshop tutorials will already own photoshop. I would maybe try that plus Adsense or another ad company.

You could, but it'd be reaaaly hard. Try selling tutorials to places like psdtuts.com, tutorial9.net, photoshop.ws etc. You can make between 150- 300 bux per tutorial on tut9;.

 

30$ per day is a lot. My friend had a great photoshop tutorial blog which got a few thousand visitors per month and he earned 150$ through Adsense with that blog.

The best thing to do though is to try and sell some advertisements, that might easily give yourself some money if the site has enough traffic

Sharing what you have learnt on internet is quite common now. I suggest you to share unique content so have a quick search first before spending your time creating the content.
