I'm wondering if there is any plugin that can be set for a regular interval of time, lets say after 72 hours, and it can produce and supply the backup of particular WordPress blog to a given mail Id or to my system. I dont think It essentially backup all the datas, like Uploads with Database and tie them together!! Better is to do a manual backup everyday or once a week!! Plugin will help in the rest of the time!! ~ExP~
If you do a lot of Image attachment in posts, then you need to download and backup wp-content forlder via FTP, Daily, weekly or monthly. (Depends on you!) Else if you're just concerned about database, to use it while reinstalling your site, use "WP-db-Manager" plugin, with that you can setup your database to be emailed on given email address, everyday or every week. It will automatically download, attach and email you your DB backup to your email address. I use it frequently for my clients, who aren't techies and don't know much about cpanel, Phpmyadmin stuff.

WP database manager is good plugin for db backup and you can also set some mysql queries for auto backup generation.

That's not really require for normal users, unless you really want to digg into Mysql queries custom stuff. Just install the plugin, setup you email address and you're good to go.

To do it manual, Use Your FTP, And Download Your Wp-content Folder! Go To Phpmyadmin and export your DB Simple! Half Automated, Use your FTP and download Your Wp-Content, Install some plugins so that Database will be backedup automatically! ~ExP~
