I is anyone here at DP a school teacher? If so I have a few questions like, where do you teach? what grades or ages and what do you teach? and more importantly why do you do it and why did you decide to be a school teacher? Thanks
I've been in education for 27 years. 22 as a Computer Aided Drafting/Engineering teacher at the high school level and the last 5 years I've been a district Technology Coordinator. (All 27 years at the same school district) I deceided to become a teacher because the teachers I had in high school were a great bunch of people and they made it look like something I wanted to do. They could teach and make it fun at the same time. With the way kids, parents, and recertification are today, I can safely say that I'll keep my tech coordinators job until I retire and not go back into the classroom. If your thinking about becoming a teacher......remember this: Don't try to be the COOL teacher.....they'll walk all over you. You're there to teach, so take control of your classroom before they do. Let'em know you mean business right off the bat, you can be their friend later. I teach at Putnam County School District in Illinois Ed aka Mr. Schmidt
i m not school teacher.and i dnt hv any experience about it. but why you are interested to know this? Abhilash.
I tought ESL for 6 months in S. Korea and Taiwan. It was absolutely horrible. Seeing the far east on somebody else's dime was ok, I suppose. What a nightmare.
The reason I'm curious is that I want to be a teacher It's something that I feel I would love to do so I'm working my way toward becoming a teacher.
I was university teacher for 2 and half year. Than I had to leave the job due to some trouble with the envirnoment. I used to teach graduation classes, and it was related to CS subjects.
