Paypal for Large Businesses?

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by TheCooldude, Sep 2, 2010.

    As far as i know the highest amount a paypal account can hold is $10,000.

    So, my question is how are the large companies that make transactions in excess of $10,000 ...each day are able to use paypal to receive and send payments?

    Where did you get that figure from? We have a lot more than that in our paypal account without any issues?

    Sorry my bad. $10,000 seems to be the limit per each transaction. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

    Regards

    People with large businesses have much efficient payment services at their disposal... than using Paypal. Given Paypal's fee structure, it is not efficiently priced for big transactions. Paypal is best suited for smaller transactions.

    Never use PayPal even if its more than just $1K. Its not the best thing to do. Wire Transfers are safe & without any hassle.

    I would not use PayPal if I had a large business...Bank transfers are way safer, though much slower.

    Yup thats correct, so what is the biggest amount in your Paypal account. Can we save a million in there?

    Well I don't think there is a difference.

    What is PayPal's transaction limit?

    Question :
    Answer :
    The maximum amount allowed for a single transaction is $10,000 USD by a PayPal member.

    If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can send a maximum of $4,000 USD for a one-time, single transaction.

    For PayPal members living outside the U.S., the maximum transaction limit depends on the currency in use:

    *
    EUR - 8000
    *
    CAD - 12500
    *
    GBP - 5500
    *
    JPY - 1.000.000
    * AUD - 12500
    *
    CHF - 13,000
    *
    NOK - 70,000
    *
    SEK - 80,000
    *
    DKK - 60,000
    *
    PLN - 32,000
    *
    HUF - 2,000,000
    *
    CZK - 240,000
    *
    SGD - 16,000
    *
    MXN - 110,000
    *
    ILS - 40,000
    *
    HKD - 80,000
    *
    NZD - 15,000
    *
    TWD - 330,000
    *
    THB - 360,000
    *
    PHP - 500,000
    *
    BRL - 20,000
    *
    ARS - 30,000
    *
    MYR - 40,000

    If you live outside of the U.S. and do not have a PayPal account, your transaction limit may vary.

    PayPal account types

    Premier and Business accounts are almost the same. The main difference is that a Business account must be registered with a business or group name, while a Premier account can be registered with a business, group or individual. Business accounts can also be set up for multiple users.

    Business and Premier accounts allow access to all of the core features, plus the ability to accept:

    * Unlimited Credit Card Payments
    * Payment Receiving Preferences
    * Subscriptions
    * ATM/Debit Card
    * Mass Payments

    Business and Premier Accounts also get a toll-free customer service number and extended customer service hours.

    These extra features come at the cost of transaction fees. Sending money is still free, but 2.9 percent is charged for funds received. Extremely high-volume accounts get a break -- after $3,000 has been received in a month, the percentage drops to 2.5 percent. Above $10,000, it goes to 2.2 percent, and money in excess of $100,000 received in a single month is only charged at 1.9 percent. In addition, all transactions in which money is received, regardless of volume, have a $0.30 fee added.
