Hi guys... I've been doing affiliate marketing for about a year now and have seen some pretty good results. However, I've never really put much effort into email marketing... but that's about to change. Is there any good programs/courses you guys can recommend that'll go into the "how to write follow-up emails" aspect of it? I already have a couple of lists and I'm collecting leads... but I'd like some more theory on what to do with my autoresponder series... Hope you guys can help
Hi, A good source is being on good marketers newsletters mailing list Their email marketing are often optimized to convert, sign up to a few, get some ideas, and take the best bits to compile your own autorespnder emails, obviously, don't down and out copy them Their emails are a great source for email subject lines or titles, they often have great headlines, which you could emulate Coolmoss!
I've wrote over 150 emails so far, so I know a few things or two. My advices to you are: * Emails are like classified ads. Don't try to sell into them, but rather generate a lead. * Have three CTA (call to action) in your email. * Have your subject line congruent with the content of the email. Don't trick them, it won't work. * People receive tens or even hundreds of emails daily. Try to make your email stand out through something shocking or personal. * Personalization usually decreases conversion rate. If you think about it, would you trust someone who you've never meet before and says "Hello {!firstname_fix}? * Don't go into full selling mode before you've built a relationship with your list. If you're interested in email marketing, then you'll love my copywriting coaching program. This step-by-step program is designed especially for people who are just starting out in internet copywriting and will allow them to write good copy (that sells) in six months or less. Plus, you'll learn about email marketing, squeeze pages and general persuasion techniques. And in the end, by the end of these six months, you'll finish at least 4 sales pages. If you want to find out more, just PM and we'll have a short talk. Regards, Howard J.
Thanks guys... I'm thinking there must be some sort of formula to follow... Something like: Day 1 - introduction Day 2-3 - build relationship etc... Wasn't there a course at some point that went over these things?
have your heard of "Affiliate Millionaire"... it is a course all about email marketing and I heard some very good postive feedback on it. I didn't have chance to tak a look...If you are interested, you might need to look into it.. thanks
Email marketing campaigns are becoming more and more popular and for a very good reason, they work. I can literally go to sleep and in the morning I can wake up to a fresh lot of orders from my regular customers that are on my mailing lists. This is the best kind of automated income that you can find and is very successful at the same time. The sooner you build a email list the sooner you can be earning money from it whilst you have fun spending it! I have engaged in 10 best ways that have enabled me to get very nice results in my daily email marketing campaigns. I got this ideas from a blog of one of my friends http://myeasyonlinepay.com/top-10-email-marketing-tips/. I testify that they have worked for me and I hope they work for you too.
My tip is ALWAYS start with giving some good information or free product etc first... This builds RECIPROCITY = people love to "give back" when they've received good stuff from you (which means they're more likely to give you their money! haha)
are these your established customers, or unsolicited ? Either way, hit em with your best shot. For 3 years I made more than I could have dreamed of via bulk emailing, and I can dream pretty high. I'll give you a hint: 5 figures/week. Anyways, here's my rules: SUBJECT LINE, SUBJECT LINE, SUBJECT LINE ie "As Seen On Oprah! " Who wouldn't open it? 1-2 paragraphs at most ! Tell them your offer, why they need it, why it's the best deal, and give them a url to buy it now ! keep it simple. people don't want to read pages of crap. Actually, my best pulling ads had only one line: the url "ORDER TODAY, HAVE FUN TOMORROW NIGHT. CLICK HERE FOR SPECIAL EMAIL PRICING ON VIAGRA" or whatever you're selling. keep it simple, direct. don't overthink.. what would you read, what would you click on ?
Bulk emailing isn't a good "targeted" way to build a list. You need to use double opt-in and you'll have much more success!
1. Get the address list of your consumers. Some company offer this kind of information .Search it yourself. 2.Find a good email marketing software to manage and send your emails. It' no wise to use your won server to send large number of emails. It may be easily banned.Service recommend:Comm100 Newsletter , Vertical response, and Constant Contact .By the way I use Comm100 Newsletter,I's free and easy to use. It has functions of sending lagre numbers of emails and autoresponder . Here is the website:http://www.comm100.com/emailmarketingnewsletter/ 3.Set up your software. 4.Edit your mails. No too many hot words. It will be easily seen as spam. 5.Send them out. Wish it will help .
That may work temporarily, but definitely NOT a good "long term" strategy. Especially if you want a REAL business from this.
But these service offer are more professional in dealing with email problems. And using these service just solve the most complex problem and save your money and energy.
Dear hjalte81, I've got a few insights for you: 1.I've found this ebook to be pretty helpful when it comes to building your list and sending them effective emails. It's offered for free on the Wednesdaygift blog. once you've clicked the link on that URL you'll be taken to an upsell which you can skip and find the download link at the bottom of the sales page. 2.I would use one of those 3 autoresponders: Aweber/Getresponse/iContact. They are the most reliable and most widely used amongst top marketers. Getresponse is my personal favourite. I find it more intuitive and easier to use. 3.Have 2 lists for each campaign: One is for subscribers, and once they've bought from you transfer them into the list of buyers, whereby you can market high-ticket products to them, like coaching plans and seminars. 4.Lee McIntyre is an innovative British marketer and he's offering 4 high value DVDs if you try his coaching programme.(Scroll to the bottom or look at the right side). It's $1 for the first 2 weeks and $97 per month thereafter. It's worth doing it even just to get that training material, as it also contains great tips regarding list building and email marketing. Lee is kind of the 'bad boy' of IM, he's doing things differently than most gurus but he's doing tremendously well so he's the guy to follow IMHO. (By the way this is not an affiliate link. I don't use affiliate links when not allowed). 5.Subscribe to Kickstart Today. This is a newsletter published twice a week, by Martin Avis, a seasoned British marketer. There's a lot you can learn from him. The way he approaches his list is as if he's talking to one of his mates in the pub. He never hardsells you anything. He never (or hardly ever) promotes a product he hasen't tried himself. He would tell you a lot of personal, non-marketing related stuff. His list is pretty small, only about 8k. But you'll notice that on every newsletter he's telling about one or two products. As people trust him they buy from him in droves. Trust me, I've met the guy. He makes 6 figures which proves his approach works big time. Hope that helps 1kaday
