Will Adding NO-RIGHT CLICK script affect Pages In Search Results?

I was curious about protecting imagery throughout my site. Would adding this NO-RIGHT CLICK script affect the page placement / page rank within the actual page algorithms in the search engines? Would the page(s) it is added to eventually get affected? Curious. PLUS....would I have to add this script on every consectutive page for it to work? AQs you can imaging, I would hope to protect my work.

    1) This is stupid, do not control what browsers do
    2) This will not work AT ALL
    3) Again, this is stupid - google for reasons why
    4) This doesn't do anything
    5) This will not affect pages in search results
    6) This will not do anything

No, but it will really tick off your readers. Anyone who wants to rip stuff from your site can do it without resorting to right-clicking.

and wtf is this all about if you are thinking of disabling right-click?

Krsix: Thanks. But take a "chill pill" . . . relax a bit. Basic question regarding a basic script. I stopped by here to ask, simply for some creative input. Mcfox: Ditto.

I don't see why it would have any impact on your rankings. :) Bots can't right click ;) However, it is VERY annoying to users.

princessa: what if they have nasty intentions of using one of my copyrighted images without my knowledge or consent though?

Well unfortunately sometimes that happens. You put your images online, there are more than likely going to be people who abuse your kindness. Maybe watermark them instead. If someone really wants to take your images, they can do so by viewing your source code. There are several other ways to get around a no-right click script.

yup, right click is no option, anything and everything at client browser can be ripped off. If I am a user I will not like/survive more than a min this kinda website.

Then they will do it. Period.

NoScript? Most browsers can also ignore context/resizing/disable scripts. Basically don't mess with any browsers normal functions.

Sorry to be harsh, but I really hate ideas like this. If you still want to implement it, at least just make it silently return false instead of popping up a box every time.

Y'see. That's how strongly people react to a disabled right click.

If you want an alternative system in place you are going to have to use smaller, watermarked samples that are very difficult to photoshop out and a way of delivering full-sized images if people buy.
