whats the best marketing strategy that i could use for advertising my website other than social network websites like facebook , twitter and etc.
Twitter is HARD. Why? Because it has become a huge nesting ground for marketers. Almost every Twitter user doesn't even click links posted in Tweet's any longer. Facebook still has potential but you have to build a big list of friends which let me tell you, isn't easy. I'd go at Facebook hard if you really want to use it to promote your websites. 1) make an account 2) use and auto friend adder 3) add 50 friends per day. Other than social networks I would recommend doing so grunt work and using SEO to power your site through the rankings.
You may want try classified ads. There are 100's of free classified ad sites. Start with 3 or 4 of the top 10 to see how the response is and to tweak your copy.
I'd also vote for Facebook. Using Pages and Groups you can target very precisely and communicate effectively. It makes is very easy to reach your audience. With Pages and Groups, you can post on their walls for everyone to see it right away. The best thing is that all friends of your members can see it too. With Groups, you can also send a message to all group members, and that's powerful too. Cheers
Hi! In order to define the appropriate marketing strategy for your website you need to study some peculiarities of the target audience of your website. After you've done this, it'll be easier for you to make the right decision.
Use social bookmarking sites such as Digg and StumbleUpon. If you can write really good titles that are catchy and write about things that are similar to what is already on the front page of that social bookmarking site you should get thousands of visitors! Also add friends and leave comments on their site. Rate them and be a part of the community. People love this and they might look at your bookmarks too!
SEO Forum discussions Niche blog posting Email marketing The abovementioned factors help you to promote the business.
can i ask though why do you say that twitter is hard because alot of people are on it because its the easiest social network to market on ??
Always remember that there is no such thing as a single best way to market anything. Thinking you can do only one thing to market your website is a sure way to end up with no traffic. You need to familiarize yourself with all the methods and use several of them simultaneously. Remember too that not all traffic is equally valuable. You want to find traffic which is interested in your website topic. A thousand visitors who would never have any interest in your site or your product/service is totally useless. One visitor who is interested can become a customer.
List Building is the way to go for making long term passive income in my opinion, You can get hundreds to thousands of subscribers with Free Traffic -Which is the best way to go for starting. Then you can move on to Paid Traffic when you already seen the potential.
Social networking, classify ads and go for community site’s to add more friends for networking. Like stumble up, digg, face book etc…
The best marketing strategy is one that will work for your website. This may seem like a jerk remark, but i'm not trying to be. Here's the thing, there is no such thing as a cookie-cutter 10 steps to success marketing plan. If there was, there would be no need for marketers because everyone would be able to do it. The "art" (more like science if you ask me) to marketing a website is simply finding out where people are hanging out that are interested in your products and going there. Sometimes this may mean that you need to go to websites related to yours and buy banners on their websites to get good traffic. Other times they may be searching at Google (pretty often usually) so SEO is something that shouldn't be avoided. Perhaps look into PPC. Other times you may have to go to the popular forums in the community and hang out and earn respect by helping others out with the knowledge you have. It comes back to you when they realize you're a good guy and are more inclined to buy from you. Sometimes a hodgepodge of all three of those is what is needed. But you have to evaluate the situation for yourself to determine how to determine what will work. Facebook and any other social media primarily works for leisure products more than anything else. There is a reason why most ads you see are about dating, quizzes, movies, games, etc at FaceBook. Those are topics that people enjoy reading, interacting with, and buying during their leisure time. Selling ceramic frogs is probably less likely to be successful because people aren't necessarily in the shopping mood there. People who are interested in those products aren't necessarily hanging out there, or at least it will be hard to find someone who is surfing Facebook who is actively ready to buy a ceramic frog.. Hopefully this helps!
