Matt Cutts - Does anyone not like him?

It seems that everyone sucks up to this guy, a lot. Over recent time I read his blog and followed what he said even though I questioned the majority of it. The guy is smart, but am I the only person to not understand why everyone immediately sucks up to him?

I guess I'll get prepared to be bombarded by fans and wannabes.

Does anyone NOT like him? As in DISLIKE.

 

Matt has a role with Google. The question is what is his real role?

The guy is smart yes and he would obviously know what he talks about because it's his job however not all what Matt says are entirely true. I'm not saying that they are wrong however it is not the best answer either.

He obviously wouldn't want to answer all SEO queries from people with the exact answers, Google still needs to protect their intellectual property.

He's a likeable guy and he's good but not really the guy you'd make a fans club or have groupies NOT like Jim Morrison.

 

I'm not really sure why you "don't like him". He does the job that he's paid for and at least he DOES give us information and answer our questions, because there isn't much other direct contact from Google.

 

Exactly - he's the public face of the anti-spam team, so his job is to promote whiter-than-white white hat techniques.
Only an idiot doesn't take any notice of what he says - but a certain amount of reading between the lines helps too.

 

This is what you really need especially when you're watching his webmaster videos. You will really have to read in between THOSE bloody lines and of course, figure it out yourself.

 

Yes, but I do trust what he says more than a politician.

 

You may not like him but you can't help not to repect him for his accomplishments.

Most people's SEO questions can be readily answered by reading cutts and google's webmaster blogs.
It's funny how a lot of people do, but then propose just the opposite, saying they are not reliable.
I would rather err on the right side, however. But they are just guidelines, not everything and anything one
should or could do.

not sure about his work but what i know is he is the CEO marketing of Google.....

 

i think you might not like him because one's site might not be ranked that high but those that are, they love him.

 

Id love to work alongside him, but ya gotta pass the GLAT test, Id take a BAR anyday without knowing anything about law

 

Well maybe they should put up Robert Patinson instead of Matt Cutts just for the appeasement .. just kidding here

I dont know him personally so i cant like or dislike him. About what he says/does he have some points and a not easy position and like always you cant please to Trojans and Greeks
