long tail keywords--effectiveness

What is the main reason for using long tail keywords?

 

You have a domain, but not necessary mean your domain keywords exactly same with a new topic you want to talk.
E.g //webhosting.com , talking everything about an hosting.

What if you have a topic like "what is your webshoting","what is your favorite hosting" and so on..
In addition, when create a domain extension with targeted keywords you like, you may want to know how to put a long tail keywords in a more suitable way and easy to be read.

//Webhosting.com/whatisyourfavoritewebhosting .......kinda hard to read.

It could be better if, you put like this.

//webhosting.com/what-is-your-favorite-webhosting.

The latter is easy reading.

Use keyword tools to search the right keywords related to your content.

I totally agree with Karpok. Conversion rate of the long tail keyword phrase is high than the small keyword. We can generate more revenue to target such type keywords.

Hi friends ..I gone through another thread and i saw many people said that long tail keywords are basically have less searches and it doesnot matter how many words are there ...

I have posted this thread in a wrong section but the number of replies confused me .I have many area specific websites related to tourism and one of them is related to goergia tourism .And it have information about joergia(country),Joergia(us state) and joergia (island ).....but i am quite confused about the keywords ..

People searches for joergia tourism but how to know if they are searching for country or state or the island .where as most of the websites talking about goergia the state .


Please help me on this ..

 

BTW, it's better to rank high for a large number of long-tail keywords than a small number of popular ones.

Long tail keywords convert at a higher rate than general search queries, because the searcher knows exactly what they want. Writing content or creating pages around these long tail keyword phrases gives you a better opportunity to create a strong message to market match.

The good thing about long tail keywords as mentioned by a few above is that they convert well due to them being highly targeted.
The bad thing being that doing Seo for them has become quite difficult after Google's Mayday update that took place a couple of months back.

 

Long tail keywords is useful because most of the user user preferring the same.

 

@3glogic ,if most of the users preferring the same how can it be so useful ..It will create more competition.
