You don't need to minimize it you need to understand what it means. I would love to have 100% bounce rate on any of my site pages as long as it sent the visitor to the place I want them to go.

As above. Put good content on there and give the user what they are searching for

Yea Jones, it seems kind of obvious, if you want the visitor to stay, give them something they are looking for.

If you want to minimise the bounce rate of your website (and it's important to understand that a high bounce rate is not necessarily a bad thing - see comments above) then provide posts of high quality and high relevancy. Put yourself in the visitors shoes:

Figure out what people are searching for, i.e keyword research:
Optimise your pages for those phrases, and:
Deliver content which is both useful and relevant to the phrase

    All the best,

    John.

I agree with Johns comment. In addition,

Formatting make a big difference. Poorly formatted text with large paragraphs, poor images, or nothing to catch the eye makes the person move on quickly. Bullet point lists and other things that can quickly be scanned by the eye help.

Make sure that these things of interest are easily viewable when the person reaches the page. If you have topped the whole page with adsence ads the person will move on before even looking at the content.

Providing relevant content is the first step. You want to get the reader's attention and keep them interested.
