I don't use any anti virus software. Luckily, my computer has not been infected by virus.

Best free variant: Avira AntiVir Personal (Free edition)

But if you want the best quality, and you have some money, then choose Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
They won "Computer Bild Lithuania" tests of best anti-virus 8 times in a row, and counting.

P.S. Malware Anti-bytes is not an anti-virus. It's anti spyware!

Certainly not Microsoft made antivirus. I use Norton 360 since it can be installed in less than 60 seconds.

I also use Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows 7. I find it to be everything the reviews say it is, fast and secure. It also doesn't have any of the silly GUI stuff you get in other antivirus, like fade-in logos on startup and speech telling you what it's doing.

We use AVG. It's free and works brilliantly. Also it doesn't seem to take over and slow down your computer the way McAfee and Norton do (in my opinion).

We also use Spybot Search & Destroy for malware, spyware etc. Again it's free and it works :)

I was going through a catalog of free software for anti virus protection. But to be honest, I'll stick with Norton's Symantec Anti-virus protection and pay !
