Blog commenting and forum posting

I read last week on this site that Blog commenting and forum posting was a good method of getting backlinks, I have given this a try using the a href command in a sentence linking to my site but I don't seem to be getting any backlinks.

Am I doing something wrong ?

 

It takes time to do that. Keep doing it regularly is the key to success. If you leave it half hearted in between you will not find success.

 

That depends even if you comment on a blog
1) It could have gotten denied
2) It is not yet indexed so it doesn't count as a backlink

Same thing pretty much go for forum threads.

 

I think both are beneficial if you are doing them on high PR website. The reason I say that is because high PR sites are heavily moderated, so if your post sticks in blog comment or forum post, search engines will take that as a vote towards your website.

 

I have had some quick success with forum posting and blog commenting. However, I would agree that the backlinks really are gained over time with steady consistent work.
Consistent meaning....daily!

 

Some says blog commenting and forum posting are now ineffective for link building, It may be because of "page segmentation" issues plus these links takes time to get index.

 

Certainly, Blog Commenting & Forum Posting both are the definite resource to improve the SERP when if done through Do-Follow Link Rel..!

 

It needs time to get indexed.

Yes that's true blog commenting and forum posting can add help to increase back links for your site....

 

build backlink of not more then 20 a day, or less. Do not over-do it or it will raise flags.

 

These are supplemental-type links. Google will undoubtedly de-value certain types of links that easily obtained. I'm not saying they are doing it now, I am just saying that Google gives more value to big sites with high rankings and lots of authority. Try to do some guest blog posts, connect with older sites in your city (official businesses) and old authority directories.

Also, you don't have to put links in your blog comments themselves. You can just utilize the Name/Website fields to turn your name into a back link. This way, your comment will most likely have a better chance of approval. Whenever I see a link in the comment I place more scrutiny on the value of the comment as they are dropping another link. Same with forums, signature links are the most popular method. If you see a thread ranking well, then get a signature link on that page! Writing copy that would allow you to add the link to the forum post takes more time and can often get you in trouble for self promotion. Are these links regular links or are they nofollow links?

yeah blog commenting and forum posting is easy way to get back link. its depend on what kind of site you comment and posting. post on do follow site and its take some time to get back link from that site.

 

just remember its always a good idea to have a balance - too much of this type of link can spell disaster for your site if the links were to get devalued in time - so yes use forum posting and blog comments - actually use them all and stay safe - this will ensure long term rankings

 

It is possible that your blog comments got banned or rejected from the blogs. you should have to find the Do-Follow blogs and make a comment related to blog post.

 

I think if you do regularly than you improve your site
