    No traffic at all.

It may have impact on your page rank, but cannot bring much traffic.

From what I've seen on some friends sites - a DMOZ listing only got 'em a PR1-PR3 backlink. It's unreal thinking getting into the Holy Grail of DMOZ is gonna make or break your site, make your lousy keywords better, or attract significantly more visitors. So much human energy has been expended by tens of thousands of people (like me) who've tried and never got listed, or did and still it was just one backlink in a diverse field of higher and lower ranking links you ought to be growing anyways. I'm going to make $50,000+ this year - without DMOZ helping my sites one bit.

You also get a link in www.google.com/Top/ once your site is listed in Dmoz. It should worth something.

How do you know that Google does not filter these links as "duplicate content" and its worth nothing?

A link is a link, but I wouldn't lose sleep over DMOZ, like its been said, it's old and barely counts. Spend 5 minutes on it, then forget about it. When youre checking your backlink profile a few months down the line, maybe it'll pop up.

The worth of it also depends on your niche.

See, now theres the rub. What constitutes an acceptable site? When I see DMOZ pruning their massive list of dead, porn, parked and redirected listings (like Yahoo does) then and only then can they toot the quality horn. Until then it's just spinning your wheels and a slap in the face for trying to submit. Keep in mind that all these people running the submission gauntlet help to rocket DMOZ' traffic numbers as well. It's in their interest to keep people coming back over and over trying to get in.

A directory is only as good as the traffic it sends your way not the sheer amount of page views it gets from quote "wannabes" trying to get listed. Not my words but DMOZ'. The stories of how good DMOZ traffic streams are is becoming a thing of the past, sadly.

I haven't had traffic from my DMOZ listings for over a year now. Not a single visitor. And while I don't bother submitting anymore, I do have 5 or 6 websites with a DMOZ link.

Besides, there is no hope for directories as a way to find websites. Google is infinitely faster and better. Google will find individual pages, not just whole sites. Google will find news items. Google will help you get from A to B. Google can find images; you can now sort by color, line drawing, b&w, size, format, etc.

Directory days are long gone and they're not coming back.

Does that imply that you have suggeted your URL more than once against the guidelines http://www.dmoz.org/docs/en/add.html
that you said you had read?

On the same page is what the fate is of those who do submit in such a way
If you have done multiple submissions it could be yours.

I can't believe this stupid thread is still going. I mean, what does it even mean 'Is DMOZ even worth it?'? Worth what? It's free, you submit a link and forget about it. It takes about 30 seconds from your life, tops.

If that comment wasn't so pitiably wrong, I could be insulted.

I've listed almost 40,000 websites (in over 120,000 edits). Do you seriously claim that I know 40,000 people with listable websites?

Most people say it's a waste of time and you can't get your listing on there, but I got mine on there after a couple months. I think Dmoz is worth it cause it's high PR. I even voted yes for this. Imagine if they charged you for a listing, I'm sure it would be expensive. :)

How long did it take you to get indexed into DMOZ?
