Friends BEWARE: PLEASE READ THIS NOW!!!

Hey guys

This is a message to all the good and honest people on this forum, to warn and protect you against the massive fraud that is going on in this very forum. Not sure if they moderators will like me to post this but I have to do the right thing be all of you.

There is a scam going on right now where a person will sell you a domain name and and push it to your godaddy account and ask you to pay via paypal. They will then push the domain to your godaddy account and everything looks fine.

HOWEVER IT IS NOT!!!! Next this low life will call Godaddy and give them your godaddy account number and paypal email and that gets them past Godaddy security. Then they push the domain out of your account back to them again, and Godaddy doesn't do anything to get your domain back.

Luckily for me this low life made a mistake and forgot to put the whois privacy back on their domain so my internet lawyer is now filing legal action against them.

Below are the details of this scammer, so PLEASE beware and do not deal with them, they have already been banned from this forum but they will most likely come back under a new name.

Also to add to what I wrote above you MUST remove all paypal and credit card details that you have attached to AUTOMATIC RENEWAL on your godaddy accounts because if you don't do this, when someone calls Godaddy the Godaddy staff are prompted to ask you what you paypal AND/OR credit card details are. Login now to your Godaddy account remove ALL automatic renewals!!!!!

Don't they ask you for the last 6 of a credit card or the PIN on your account?

 

yes they do BUT if you have automatic renewal on any domain in that account and it is attached to a paypal email then you can gain access to that account with just the paypal details. REMOVE ALL AUTOMATIC RENEWALS!!! and ALL payment details from your Godaddy now

 

I was also scammed by that "person" who had gone under the DP name 'Lionkiller' or something similiar. Thanks for the heads up!

Is there any manual regarding to domain transfer security?

 

if they ask you your Godaddy Costomer id, dont ever give them..

just give your Godaddy username and email to the domain seller... if you call godaddy to retrieve back password, their staff will ask you Costomer ID and email not godaddy username...

 

I had some cases in the past where the seller insisted on getting my user id number on godaddy.

Glad I always refused to do so.
