To be very frank, SEO is a b*tch, and the work you do today will not yeild results until a month after (at a minimum) - try to build page rank by getting high quality link partners, it honestly is the best way. 1 quality link can be worth 10,000 low quality links which google will not even count. depends on what your target keywords are but it will take a lot of work if there is any money in those keywords because there is a lot of competition
