Could people give me an opinion on this design please? :)

I have created this design and would love to hear feedback from you all. The design is for a luxury holiday company promoting hotels.

 

I think it looks good...very professional.

 

The layout looks pretty stylish and solid, you've done a successful job!

However there're a few things:
1. The "Villa San' Andrea" text looks a little unreadable over the photo. Especially with light glow behind it. You can add a black transparent background and set the font color white.
2. Content section "Latest Additions" over a border between dark-brown and light-brown colors. If it's fixed height, would be better to make it 2-3 pixels less, so transparent black background behind the "Pennyhill Black Hotel" text would begin right where the dark-brown background of the layout ends and light-brown one begins.
3. Also, the logo seems to be basic for the current header background picture. You can make logo's background gradient at least, not just simple brown or add some patternt.

That's all the things I could find in this design, everything else is just fine.

Design is ok, a little bit too dark IMO.

 

Looks professional. I agree with some points mentioned above.

Just in addition, personally I think, placement of the "Search" section is not so great. Considering accessibillity, user might find difficult to locate, I think "Search" section will be visibile in the second fold of the website and a website like this deserve "Search" to be locate easily.

 

It looks OK, but i've seen this type of design so many times lately..

 

Nice design I would really change some of the points mentioned by Artimmi, then it would really be easy to read.

 

Nice! Looks exclusive to me. I would have liked a map or something showing where the villa sant andrea is situated.

 

I agree strongly with points 1 and 2 here. I, on the other hand, think the logo looks fine. I also think that the comment someone made about search box position is right too. If you can find a way to fit it in the header that would be best.

My only other comment is that you might want to remove the second, dark background color completely and make it the same as the "private collection" background. Overall it looks very well designed and can be navigated and read perfectly.

 

Nice design, looks professional. Careful with the text contrast though - remember most people scan and if reading is hard they lose interest very quickly.

Well it's a very proffesional looking design, really modern looking too.

 

Reminds me on some paid WP themes.

 

Hi woodenwood, the design looks good but i do agree it looks like a ready made paid theme, i say this because im sure i have seen the same or 99% similar already a couple of times but looks good all the best.

In my view, it looks sleek, and tidy.

Very professional, and should work well, the colors are also nice.
