i want to increase PR of my tech blog www.commenti.org. Actually it was a photoblog till 2 months before. but i changed it to a tech blog. that time the PR was 3 but now PR has gone to 0. i know that is because of keyword change in the homepage. now i want to increase the pr of this website. can anyone help me? and also i want to exchange some links with the site owners. so if there is anyone plz pm me..

The change on content theme and topic will not harm your PR unless you have changed a whole, remove all content and replace a new one completely. The basic principle of good PR is to acquire high PR link with low outbound link on that page you acquired. Otherwise you may consider to get link from authority and trustworthy website such as CNN.com or some EDU homepage. They have high PR generally and you should gained a high PR as well.

 

PR is solely depends on Backlinks.. So, get them as many as possible to increase the PR.

 

I guess because because you have change the content you possibly have lost some backlinks. I would suggest that you get new backlinks with the new keyword

If you made some changes on your theme then it will become a problem especially if you have an established linking pattern. Check those sites that you're linking and vice versa. See to it that your links are related to your contents.

If you need to increase your PR, I would like to suggest below channels:
1. Updating your blogs regularly with original, niche relative posts
2. Building more back links to your newly added posts and of course homepage, especially from dofollow niche relative higher PR sources

I guess you have to work on your new keywords..has to do a lot of link building to increase it's pr...

 

I think it is not penalty for change the keyword on homepage.

 

You can build relevant high pr links then get back your PR.
