    As long as it’s not aimed at anyone it should go unpunished.

    Thanks Brian

    Depends on the context.

    For example, if I were to say in a post, 'fuck, that's awesome' then the chances of that attracting an infraction are pretty low. If I were to say, 'fuck you Helvetii' in an objectionable way that attracted complaints then that would probably receive an infraction. Similarly, if someone were to just post profanities for the sake of it, that would probably attract an infraction. :)

    What happens when I say "Fuck You {insert any fictional person}" or if I say "When I meet tom and jerry I'll tell them fuck you"? :)

    If the intention is to use it as abuse or just to use profanities gratuitously then chances are an infraction will find it's way towards you. There are a lot better ways to make a point than to throw in swear words. As a general rule of thumb the only place the odd rude word is acceptable is Politics & Religion forum.

    Your explanation does justify my last infraction though I still think that I would have gotten away with a "Fuck You Tom and jerry" post instead of a "I'll tell god - Fuck You " post (which was a legitimate answer to a stupid thread) :)

    I bet I pissed off a theist mod :p

    I can't think of any single word you could write that would automatically require you to be banned. If that were the case, we could just have a plug-in that searched for that string of text and automatically ban you.

    Truthfully, it sounds more like you are asking a dumb question with the logic of a 4 year old... if you get an infraction for a post with the word "internet" in it, it does not mean all posts with the word "Internet" should get infractions.

    But yes... to answer your question, you CAN get an infraction if your post has the word "fuck" in it. You can also get an infraction for a post that contains ANY word.

    Yes, but would the infraction be because you said "fuck", or because there was something else wrong with the post?

    Are you Hevetii's schoolmate in kindergarden? lol No one said anything about a moderator liking/not liking something or it making any difference to anything either way.

    Are you saying you practice identity theft? Why did you sign your name as someone you are not (Q from Star Trek)? {rolls eyes}
