Masters in Business Administration (MBA)

i have a MBA.

 

I am looking into Part-Time MBA programs as we speak

 

i am doing my CA , FInal Year

 

i have am b.tech , mba degree in IT and doing job in company but it not sufficient for economy knowledge .

 

Now I'm working hard and I hope someday I can achieve the MBA

IMO, getting your MBA even if someone else is paying is a complete waste of time, (money) and resources

 

I agree, with wisdomtool. You would find many MBA's now days finding a sales man job.

 

I am in search of good college/university to start my MBA...I have completed My Engineering.

I want to make it a point to everybody that thinks an MBA will give you economy knowledge. (Only posting this because read about 2 or 3 people posted the same thing.)
MBA's are supposed to be programs that help you gain a managerial perspective. Depending on the specialization you opt for, you gain better understanding of the line of study. That doesn't mean you will get better economic understanding because you have the degree. You have to acquire it yourself.

There are a zillion MBA degree offering schools all around the world. Honestly, spending time and money getting an MBA from most of these programs is a sheer waste. I'm from India, and I know a lot of people who do not have reading and writing skills do an MBA from an around the street so called 'University'. Professors in those colleges/universities, themselves lack basic understanding of the curriculum, they do not have basic skills you expect of an MBA professor. What is the use of getting an MBA from such an university?

I know a lot of people who either do a program because many friends/colleagues/relatives are either doing it or their parents want to do it. I even know people who do MBA's just to put that on their marriage profile to either increase (guys) or decrease (girls) the dowry.

I also read about some unlucky chap who is working as a sewer cleaner after getting an MBA in one of the posts above. Though, I envy him for not letting social status come into his life, the reason he cannot find a job, even after having an MBA degree is probably the intent of him getting the MBA was to just get it.

As per the original question:
I am about to start to join a part time program in the New England region. From my research Boston University is the best part time MBA program in this region. I wish Harvard or MIT had a part time program though.

You're much better understanding the career your after and then working out the best course of action to achieve that goal. Most people go to university now like their 5 years old and going to play school.
