I ran an article directory for a couple of years. I found that I didn't really make very much money using Google Ads. I know someone however who has a similar article directory and now charges people $10 to join before they can post any articles. He doesn't make a whole lot of money with it, maybe $40-$50 a month. But, its a thought.

 

Oh, I don't know. Once the site begins receiving articles you can simply "mass accept" them and you are on your way. I have not had much luck in sending out emails to authors though...they seem to have moved on.

If the key phrases, directory has with hyphens "-" rather than "_" separate underlined. Someone to pure increase keyword and build more additional with a keyword subdirectories, change the directory structure. This is quite unnecessary.

 

I think niche article directories are easier to develop than general article directories. Most webmasters will only focus on the biggest article directories, so if you are #153 in the industry, I can't see it being an easy climb to #1, but if you are #1 or #2 in a smaller niche market, you'll probably develop a loyal following faster, and your traffic will be easier to monetize.
