Lyris vs Mailchimp vs others

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by jto, Jan 22, 2010.

I currently use Lyris for my email marketing but today I cam accross a company called mailchimp. Their site looks kicka$$ but that means nothing if they aren't good qauility.

The lyris fees are killing me and mail chimp is about half.

Does anybody have experience with mailchimp? Or another alternative to lyris?

I like mailchimp a lot. They have a great backend. They are free for small lists and not that expensive compared to other companies.

aWeber seems to be the most popular with mailing lists for affiliate products and the like. However the service MailChimp offers is extraordinary, if you have the extra money to sign up for them I would highly recommend it.

    NONONONO.

    Mailchimp = Not for marketers.

    Check the Terms of service.
    I got banned. (for nothing).

Aweber is number 1. In all aspects.

I tried mailchimp once and have no idea what it's about.

I think it's for newsletter only, not for marketing?

Lyris is very good, however, i think it's expensive.

Mailchimp as some interesting festures and it's an online aplication - But i honestly recommend you E-goi, it's an online Multichanel Marketing Platform - That has great email marketing features and you can interact with diferent channels - Check out www.e-goi.com

You could also look at CRM apps as they also have email marketing features

    adding two more:

    ymlp.com
    phplist

but anyways, aweber is probably easiest pick to do. so many IM people use it.
