How many keywords should I use on a page? I want to target as many keywords as possible to attract a lot of traffic, yet still have high search engine rankings.

As per my opinion 2 to 3 keywords are best for one page.

Agree with Alan. I find it most successful to use one or two related keywords and then work in multiple long-tail variations.

It depends upon how many themes your are targeting via one page. If you are running one them then it also depends how much content you needed to explain your theme. So it is not any hard and fast rule how many keywords you will add on a page. But the thing which you have to take care that do not stuff the keywords without any use for seo purpose.

The last time I checked, which was admittedly some time ago, the standard was no more than 5% -- that is, no more than 5% of your page should be dedicated to keywords. You might want to consult an expert SEO writer who has kept up with any new changes.

I would suggest it depends on how much content is on your page. If you have one paragraph and stuff 50 keywords in there, not only will it look rubbish to a human but the crawlers will see it as wrong. If you have 50 paragraphs then it will look ok.
Try to get between 5-10% but make sure there are several different variations, eg plurals, -ings, etc. not all on one keyword.

    Don't
, as it won't work. Concentrate on 4 or 5 closely linked keywords per page, then make new pages for other KW's.

I use 1 main LW, and few related as for H2 tags. Works great!

a maximum of 5% keywords use in one page would be appropriate . Use different keywords. That would be acceptable.

Make sure you use the 'KEY' words which relate to your topic. Think of the ones which stand out and what people would type in searches to get on your site. The main thing to concentrate is not to over do it.

I think it's very difficult to reach more than 3 keywords for a page, especially for highly competitive keywords.

Sometimes just one is enough. Normally I use the rule of thumb which is 2-3 but some of my pages have 1 keyword and still rank Google page 1 without trying much. (not always) assuming if you have all the right optimizations setup.

I suggest you to use 2 primary keyword and 1 secondary keyword. If you want to use many keyword, use it them after the every crawl of a site.

if you 'keep it looking natural', you won't go far wrong.

If you YACHTS try and YACHTING manipulate the content too YACHT BROKER heavily, you'll end up in BOATS all sorts of YACHT HOLIDAY trouble.

As long as it is user friendly, and not spammy (consider word density) there is not really an upper limit?

The ratio of keyword density is 2-8% for a page.
