Create a blog (website) and interesting articles for people. In the tweeter publish interesting titles on the least interesting resources ... and for you to stretch people. P/S/ I do not recommend free hosting to weebly.com ... the index is not particularly good falls. Better blogger.com
Find the most influential people in your niche and follow them, then look at their followers and follow those, unfollow people who don't follow you back within a certain time (apart from the really dominant gurus) keep sharing relevant content and don't try and sell anything until you have a decent number of followers.
The way to increase your followers in Twitter is to follow also people with same interest as you, so that chances are they will follow you, too.
What I do is I find and follow people in my targeted area that may have interest to my website. Then I also check their followers too.
One Trick I used and got success but I'm not sure you will get relevant follower but ya it will increase your followers. Go to Google Search Engine And follow top 30 USA celebrities and then watch for few days.
First of all you must be active user on twitter you need to update very frequently, follow daily new people wait 2 days if you seen they do not follow you just un follow them I have 20k+ follower in twitter
Post your twitter links on different forums and ask them to follow you. You may also want to post your twitter site on facebook.

Post new blog posts to Twitter If you follow these 5 rules, within a month you will get a minimum of 300 followers! you can also promote your twitter profile if u are using that for professional point of view. you can put your twitter profile link at your website, blog or at other sites.
Relevant tweets, follow your niche oriented people, say thanks to following, retweet useful tweets. it will help you to get more followers.
Try to post eye-catching and interesting tweets from your blog. Title will let the visitors to visit your site if it's interesting.
