    Hi,

I found a couple free domains that i can register that also are DMOZ listed and have backlinks and that also are related to my site.

Can i take advantage of those by a 301 redirect to my site?

Yes, I think you can take advantage of those by a 301 redirect to my site. But at first, you would better check the backlinks so that you can know all the backlinks are not bad.

Yes you can take the advantage of a free domain that is DMOZ listed, but check its ranking for your keywords in search engine. Also check its backlinks, navigation.

If you do 301 redirection, the Dmoz editors may remove domain listing from Dmoz when the do manual review of the listed sites.
I think, it is not advisable.
