I read all the posts from this thread but I still don't have any clue about which would be the most effective method to take advantage of it... it seems to take too much time to make 2 yahoo accounts and search then answer any question, does it?

Yahoo answer is similar to forums. yahoo answer is a site where people can ask any question they want and other participants can write in answer to those question. but they give answer not huge traffic.

It looks you do not need to do yahoo answer manually, if you are well known guru, anonymous will refer your website as resources.

But how do you become popular, you need to participate in online and offline events and being a real professional. This takes time!

OK, yahoo answers, i think it is like ehow, it has been manipulated by some guy for their own interests. This is just a guess!

I think yahoo answer definitely gives you a huge or lot of traffic, but bad quality traffic.

yahoo answers effectiveness lies on how good and relevant your answer is.. but nevertheless, yahoo answers can really help when it comes on driving traffic to your site..

As long as you dont spam the Yahoo! Answers and get your account banned, its perfectly fine.
And I think you should also think about helping people instead of just thinking about your website's traffic! :)

Good post. I think this should apply to all efforts to market a site. Good rule of thumb to follow anyways because as another posting pointed out, if your posts aren't relevant, you'll only get useless traffic anyways.
