Its a known problem; been discussed many times; the emails get through. Its not high on the prioirties to get fixed as editors generally do not like getting emails.

If you emailing editor to ask favors for your site, then that is not a good idea. Editors generally ignore those emails, let alone act on them, let alone reply

Agreed, customer relations is NOT a top priority!

I've seen no proof they actually get emails...

You'd like to see editors' private inboxes now :)?
I certainly receive lots of messages by that route - sometimes as many as 8 copies as earlier today.

Send me one message via my profile and I'll publish it here.

I'm trusting you to actually do it, not just claim you've done it.

I've tried contacting a few editors, and the only reply I ever get is the Proxy error.
I have just sent you one, so if you can post that here, then I'll certainly stop complaining that they can't get the emails (though I may still bring up the error now & again till that's resolved).

    Thanks!

    Thanks jim!

Now I just hope they get the outward error fixed, as that would likely stop a LOT of complaints.

But as I said, I'll no longer complain about them not getting the messages! (In fact, I'm bookmarking this thread to show that they do)
