My Alexa ranking is increasing these days

Good improvement Blogshut!

As I mentioned in my previous post (July 13), "my website's ranking is in the 400,000's. It was above 1 Million before." But now after about one month, I am happy to tell that it's 271,222. I think we should all keep our alexa ranks updated here.

Blogshut I will be waiting for your next update. I think it would be great to share it after every 15 days or after every month. What do you suggest?

 

Yeah.......i drive most of my traffic through google.........I get some traffic from forums and blog commenting......

That's nice in all. Too bad it wasn't a little more accurate though. It's too easy to make it out to be more than what it is sometimes. Just for example 1 site I looked at 150-200 uniques in analytics per day. What would you think the alexa should be? Not very high right. The site made top 50,000. This shouldn't be possible with real visitor tracking. But alexa just goes by the tool bar. So if you, your friends, and visitors have the toolbar than much more ranking. A site that has tons of traffic, way more than the piddly 150-200 uniques but no toolbar installed by visitors will have nowhere near top 50,000 just because of no toolbar. So crazy, this is why I do not follow alexa or have much to do with any site talking about alexa rank. It is just too easy to manipulate and fake. So not accurate. Alexa provides some other stats, but even then you have to wonder how accurate they are. 150-200 uniques should be nowhere near 50,000 and really barely in the top 1/2 million to million.

 

Yeah it is not 100% accurate..............But it will give u a rough idea about that website......If not accurate.........

Alexa ranking increase according to your traffic. If your site traffic increases then it will also increase so better to increase your traffic

 

Guest posting. This is the easiest and effective traffic generating method that should be used as often as you can get accepted to provide a guest post because the traffic potential is huge.

 

Increase traffic n it will increase, we r around 40k now and waiting to enter the elusive 10k mark
