I just started working on a project for a real estate company in India. They just booked the domain & website will be live in few days. I have to plan all seo activities for that website in which i have bit confusion about Link Building activities. How much link i should get for a new domain or a website. As per my research i found we should not just start doing link building but we should try to get some automated links buy viral content promotion like (Youtube video creation & sharing, Blog Post Creation, Images Sharing, Guest Blogging, Article Writing, web 2.0 website submissions, Infographics etc.) The second question in my mind is, How many links i should build every month for first three months? As per my research & other people suggestions they told me not build more then 15-20 links in a month... If you have any suggestions please share your ideas.... your suggestions will be appreciated... Thanks
The key in all cases (especially if you are focusing on ranking a paying client) is to replicate what happens in nature. Start by getting some low value backlinks for the sake of indexing, then start to target those deep pages with article marketing, etc. If you spread the links evenly, and get links from a variety fo sources (avoid blackhat), then you should be all good. As for how many links to build, well... there is no correct number. That depends on the competition to be honest. If the competition is stiff, then gradually work on it for as long as it takes, and if the competition is light, then just go as far as you need. There is no hard and fast rule.
here's a tested strategy, 1- Start slowly, build 10 links per day is ok 2- avoid sitewide links in the beginning 3- get some quality links better than many low PR links 4- make sure that your links are on indexed pages
Here's a strategy that I used that worked great. Find keywords with low competition and decent searches per month. Then write a few articles and a press release and submit them. After they have been indexed then find blogs that are related to your site and get a site-wide link to your website. You may have to pay for these but they are well worth it. I recommend finding one blog that is PR 5 or PR 6 and then a couple that are PR 2 and PR 3. This should get you started for now and ranked on the first page of Google for some low keywords within the first month or two. Then you can build more backlinks from high PR websites. The biggest tip I give is make sure the links are relevant to your website. ~Nick
Here's my strategy First do social bookmarking submissions aggressively, don't do link building first. If you find your site in Search results for your keyword then start Link Building submissions.
SEO is all you need to DO ............... you cant develop nothin good with out a really good targted domain ------ so bash to gurus and dominate the blogs you need to pull contents up in ranks...... my vibe you listen you learn ....
To reiterate what's been said here is that you want to create a natural link profile. For social media, there are no issues with too many links, so they are fine provided they also drive traffic. It's difficult to get a new domain to rank well and impossible to rank it well for competitive search terms. I read an interesting SEO study the other day. For really competitive search terms, their wasn't a single domain ranking well that was newer than 2008 and most were significantly older--domains from '98 or '99 seemed to be in the sweet spot. Average PR was about 6. Yahoo backlink count was about 100,000.
It's better to start an ethical link building strategy for your new site. Have it crawled and indexed first by Google. You can do that by adding fresh contents using relevant keywords and placing the appropriate metatags. Next step is to do off page strategies by submitting your sites to reputable submission sites, and maximizethe benefits of social bookmarking/networking sites. Do this as often as you can to generate more traffic.
Thanks for the information... I like all your views & I'll defiantly follow these steps & i would recommend others also to read these comments...
Hi first I would like to suggest for new website you can get some link book marking website and directory submission website as well signature link do follow forums after one or two month you can continuous link building your website.
Link Building... Time intensive. Frustrating. Sometimes confusing. Yet Unavoidable. Because ultimately, it's still the trump card for higher rankings.
you have to also write targeted articles with key word about your niche market- it is major for traffic ...
