I don't know any webmasters I would consider successful that have a lot of posts here. Actually there's shoemoney, but I think that's it. So yeah, post count does not correlate to success in any way. In fact I think it's the opposite; the more time you spend posting here the less time you're spending on actual work. PS: almost all of my posts are from 2006/early 2007. If I looked through them I bet less than 100 were worth posting.
Heres some advice: You should leave a link to your website in your signature, this would make your website more known.
even the OP admitted this thread is crap, how did you find crap threads useful? Oh its useful because your post count increased by one?
Well, I actually disagree with a lot of people in this thread. If the purpose of the OP is to advertise his or her website, then the quality of his or her posts does not matter, because it would nevertheless generate traffic, if he or she ever decides to put the website in his or her signature. Now, if his or her purpose is to become a respected member of the Digital Point community, I could imagine that the standards would be a little more different, but, unless Digital Point decides to regulate advertisements more, I don't believe that there is even a desire for people such as the OP to change in their manner of posting on this forum.
First day here i got about 50 posts up, then one of them got me an infraction. Since then I always play safe even if I try to post quality posts. Maybe you should slow down a bit. Also, your signature link wont show on posts posted before 7 days of membership.
I must say that when I read this, I thought to myself, and you're posting this in a thread because...? Careful you don't get banned for overposting on the forum. Please give me a good reputation on here.
i dont know if being known translates to your website being known to begin with, and as others have said ppl will reply to your threads as long as seem like honest questions, theres way too many ppl asking generic questions simply to get their post count up. but if ure contributing to the forum with helpful insight then by all means post till you drop
