Google Chrome Rankings

When i open Google chrome browser and do a keyword search for any of my sites sometimes they get ranked down on the 4th and 5th pages. But when i log into my Google analytics account and return back to the Chrome browser, do the same keyword search they suddenly appear in the top 1 to 5 rankings. I've cleared all cookies and deleted history and still this quirk carries on. Anybody any ideas as to why this happens?

 

Well basically browsers tend to give different results depending on some factors such as; Google account logged-in, web history based on customised search is enabled, etc...

No worries, people should really do much of research first really. SEO has always been unstable and changes constantly, you may want to get yourself updated from time to time

 

Whenever checking the SERP. Sign-out the google account then checks it. You will get the accurate results.

Sign out google account, clear out the browser's cache, cookies and web history, don't use proxy or VPN to connect to the Internet, and then you will get the accurate results.

When outside US, other searchers use a proxy site or some other search ranking tools to ensure they got actual results in Google US database.

 

Think about it this way - you log into your Google account for checking out Analytics. You start searching - Google's algorithms are looking at ways of providing the most pertinent search results for you. It's always going to feed you a result you've preferred in the past (because you searched and clicked on it, or because you visited it in the past and stuck around on the site for a while). As mentioned - if you want accurate results, then you need to get rid of stuff Google uses to tailor results for you.
