Paypal still not in Pakistan :(

    Hello,

As most of you may know, paypal is not supported in Pakistan.

Many website's and people are willing to buy/sell products online but unfortunately other payment processors are not accepted by all companies.

What do you think? Will Paypal ever add Pakistan ?

Maybe. First there must be famous International Bank in your country. Second Your country must be included in Developed countries.

Famous international bank? I think they already have that there: HSBC, Citibank, RBS. Aren't these famous and itnernational? :)

As for "must be included in Developed countries", are you sure every country paypal supports falls under the "developed" caategory? I think not.

What really needs to be done in my view is that banks and other financial institutions in that country need to sit down with paypal and come up with a working solution. Payapl can't start offering its services to any country unless local banks decide to work with it.

I thought Pakistani Government & PayPal both are not taking it seriously.

Until that We can use Plimus For accepting payment from PayPal customers.

I guess Paypal has problem confirming to the guidelines issued by Pakistan's central bank and so their inability to offer its service in this country. The problem can be solved only if either of the two show some willingness to meet at a common ground!

I guess the reason is that, international finance companies have many restrictions while allowing services like international money transfer.
America and other developed countries are very strict to keep an eye on money sent to some asian countries included pakistan, to avoid some terrorist and anti-social groups getting funded. PayPal can not afford so much fuss so it simply excludes pakistan from its list to avoid controversies.
