$3k to $5k to start a business, any ideas?

I've one fantastic idea but for it, you need to contact me. I don't wanna revel my business idea publicly. I would also like to invest another $3K if you are from India or otherwise I'll handle the business we'll get from India.

Invest in an established business that is proven to be profitable.

 

The internet is really risky but if you do invest make sure you plan out your site and make a business plan! And don't expect to make millions overnight, the internet is meant for the long term believe it or not, unless you already have millions to spend on marketing. Good luck!

 

Is it a good idea to invest that much money in a website if your not that experienced with website owning?

 

$5,000 for $500 is realistic after all thats only ten months revenue. Sure finding one for sale mightbe work.

Now $50,000 for $500 is down right silly, I don't think the poster was thinking straight because if they were they would realize that it works out to one hundred month's revenue.

 

go to flippa and buy a websites with traffic and a list. Grow the site and market to the list. Make the site better and use some of that money to generate traffic to the site and at the same time growing the list.

 

Not exactly true. Even if you have as little as $50-$100, you can make $500 / month profit.

Just buy a domain ($8-$10), get cheap $5-$10 / month hosting and setup an affiliate website reviewing a product in a hungry niche with desperate buyers. Use the google keyword tool to come up with a list of long tail keywords and/or "buying" keywords, then write articles and submit them to ezinearticles.com to promote your review site. If you were to write the articles yourself, obviously there would be no cost involved. If you can't write the articles yourself, you can always outsource for cheap here at DP. You can easily make $500+ / month with probably 2-3 review sites, possibly even just ONE.

Heck, you don't even need to buy a domain or hosting. You can make money online without spending or investing a single cent. There are free alternatives like free blog services, YouTube (just put your affiliate link in the description or in the video - perhaps use a service like tinyurl.com or notlong.com to make the URL shorter).

I don't even know where you came up with the idea that you need atleast $50,000 to make $500 / month profit. Utter BS in my opinion.

this thread alone really won't be enough for you to decide on ... you need to read more and more to have a solid idea. This forum is great for this you just need to read more and when you think you have very clear idea and it is convincing then go for it..

Now that is not right. It depends what kind of business you have. I can do slight web developing and installation of scripts, but still needed someone to make some stuff. A total investment of $240 and targetted at my university. My business - cheaper textbooks - new and used. Sales started at the end of June, And in the month of July I had a total sales of $2660. It truly depends on how you work on your business and what you target. Nos. like above - $50000 for $500/month is just a very vague idea. Probably an average of all the start up costs of each and every business. BUT finding the right market with appropriate knowledge and research on the targeted market. $5000 can even get you more than $500/month

 

I think you could invest in something related to gambling that is growing every day.
And a highly profitable business, I have some experience in it and therefore I say that is a good investment.

It really depends on what your skills are. If your a web developer, you should consider spending the money forming your own operation, spend a bit on a website and the rest of establishing yourself and advertisement. If your an SEO expert then maybe you should do like everyone else has said and buy websites that already have a bit of revenue coming in but have good potential (loads out there if you look hard enough and are good at finding the deals). You only make money doing what you know!!!!!
