if you need asistance i could be your mentor

joomla is a content management system which makes life easy for webmasters

Main focus is on the content rather than the programming, But mind you the programmer has it all
So to be a guru or first class/Professional joomla Administrator you need to Know
    1) PHP (Hypertext Pre-Processor)
    2)CSS ( Cascading Style Sheet)
3)HTML ( Hypertext Markup Language) which is the language of the web.
    4) JavaScript
    5) Any Picture Editing Software eg. Photoshop,Fireworks or corel Draw X5 etc

If you really need my asistance i could dedicate special time for make videos etc

yes, there will be advantage but its good for a beginner to not to concentrate mastering those. It consumes time and make it feel them making websites is not that easy and might change their opinion. Instead of concentrating on those languages if he can concentrate on understanding joomla will guide him to new way of making websites and enjoys it. Later he can master those languages when he feel its needed.

I learned Joomla a year ago. I now own three Joomla websites and one of them is on the first page of Google for certain keywords. I never paid anyone to help me with the problems I usually had. The answers are out there. Just google them...

I use Joomla all the time. It's a bit hard to get started, but once you know what you're doing, it's smooth sailing from there. Any help you need, ask on appropriate joomla or extension forums.

For me Joomla was self-taught. Asking questions in Joomla related forums never hurt as well. Read as many tutorials possible. Also don't make things too hard on yourself. They're plenty of extensions and plugins out there that can handle things you may want to accomplish.
