Hello, I am looking to start a rummy and a bingo related website. I am new to these niches and I don't know the do's and dont's. So please kindly give me some tips if you can. In anticipation of your humble response. Regards, Alex
Well if you really want to learn about any niche. Try this method. First do a wikipedia search for the niche. Make notes of some of the wow factors that you see. Second Perform a Google Blog search for the same thing. Still making notes Third, use the Twitter search function for the niche search terms and visit some of the links. Always take notes. Then you can put it all together. As with any site, you are going to want content. Not some copied from other sites so what you want to do is get a writer either here on DP or one of the many freelance sites. You can even use Google as a source for your writer. Unless you want to write the content yourself and save a buck. Now, what I would recommend is that you submit articles to ezinearticles and articlebase. This will get you some visitors from the readers. The biggest thing is that you want to drive traffic. Forum posting will bring the traffic, but the visitor may or may not be interested. Usually the reader of the articles are searching for your niche. How do they find your article. You make sure it ranks on the front page of Google for a popular search term related to your niche. If you or the writer that you hire can not do this, then you need to find another. Just a humble response.
Amen to that! And if you want to accelerate the learning process, go to Youtube and watch as many rummy and bingo related videos so you can gain some valuable expertise... You could even start playing yourself and get first hand experience on the subject...
Make sure to find the trends of where these games are going and what variants are coming up. 10 years ago there was sports betting, then there was Texas hold-em, now its multiple casino games. Try to get ahead of something new. interview someone. Get their ideas of what they see going on in the industry.
You have entered a really competitive market. We have a client in the UK who runs a bingo website, the hardest thing to do is to get noticed amongst the sheer amount of competition, right down to the smallest keywords. The rummy addition sounds like a nice twist, and I agree with Salvadore, get ahead of something new. Offer them something different to the norm and you could keep some loyal paying customers who aren't just there to collect their free $£ sign up deposit. Good Luck
those are very competitive niches. Consequently most sites in those niches have to rely on paid advertisement rather on natural search results.
I learned a lot from this thread, i will apply this also to my works, btw, I work in the online pokies industry.
A good start will be to check out wikipedia and see what they are and then do a Google search to see your competition.
Start off by becoming a resource in the niche. Yes, you would need to learn about what you are going to write about, and make sure its authoritative. The better and more legit your content, the easier it is for people to link back.
Look for enthusiast forums. These are places with people with genuine passion can connect and spread information. There an absolute goldmine for content and information.
Using social bookmarking and social networking sites to promote such competitive niche sites would be a nice idea. have a nice day,
Thanks everyone for sharing these useful tips and information. These tips are helping me a lot in the learning process. Regards, Alex
You have to do constant searches in order for you to keep-up with the niche. Be patient and keep hardworking and you will see the result.
Nothing beats direct feedback from prospective buyers. As you find other websites where people interested in these niches congregate, invite them to participate in a short survey about the topic. Set the survey up using Survey Monkey. Ask them what they would like to see in a site or product related to your niche. If you post your invitation in the right places, where people who really love your niche congregate, you may find people eager to participate and give you great ideas. If people are not taking you up on your request to take the survey, you may need to find a way to incentivize them... perhaps by giving them a free e-book on the topic, or promising to give them the product you will create for free once it is ready.
