Title matters on ranking

What is the role of title on ranking?? If targeted keyword in not mentioned in title then how can it effect the ranking??

 

Keywords in your title are good for your ranking. Also the position of the keyword matters in the title.

I would respectfully disagree. The title matters a lot. So does content. They both matter a lot.

 

It does matter, the mostly of course. Title tag is considered as biggest of on-page seo factor for all search engines. Any change made on this tag would cause your website ranking fluctuated for a period of time, temporarily anyway. That's why you should craft this tag carefully from the beginning.
